Ectasia capillare sulle corde vocali
L’ectasia capillare è l’allargamento o la dilatazione dei capillari sulla superficie delle corde vocali. Alcuni credono che si tratti di un effetto degli estrogeni simile alle “vene del ragno” che si possono vedere, ad esempio, sulle gambe. Nella nostra pratica li consideriamo principalmente come un’altra manifestazione di uso eccessivo della voce e una risposta alla lesione continua delle corde vocali.
Sintomi
Una volta instaurato, può causare sintomi di ridotta resistenza vocale ed esagerata raucedine premestruale. L’ectasia capillare può anche aumentare il rischio di contusioni delle corde vocali (emorragia) e di formazione di polipi emorragici.
Trattamento
Molti individui affetti, tuttavia, possono “coesistere” con questo disturbo se armati di informazioni appropriate su questo disturbo e gestendo attentamente la quantità e il modo di uso della voce. Quando indicato, può essere facilmente corretto mediante microchirurgia delle corde vocali.
